Last Week!!!! And yes, I am alive...
As I sit here in a decent hotel in Owen Sound with a belly full of Boston Pizza and Tim's hot chocolate with some mint baileys, I find myself thinking about the past two months.
Yep, it's been about two months to the day since I left Kingston for my recruiting season on the road. Don't get me wrong, I've really enjoyed the job. Travelling around, seeing all the fun spots in Ontario (including Sudbury), and talking to kids about my favorite school has been one of the more enjoyable jobs I've ever had. That being said, I'm ready to not travel for a while. Living out of a suitcase and driving about 14000 km's in 9 weeks has really worn me down, so I need some Kingston/Deep River time to recharge my batteries.
I was lucky to have spent last week with my grandparents near Peterborough. I was doing schools in the area, so I stayed with them and used their place as my base of operations. It was nice for a few reasons; I didn't have to worry about housekeeping coming into my room and stealing my spare change, I didn't have to eat out every night, and I got to do laundry for free partway through the week. They're both amazing people, pretty much the perfect grandparents. It was nice spending the time with them.
Now I'm sitting in Owen Sound, on my way to Waterloo for tomorrow night. Only two more days. Nine weeks really isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things, but it honestly feels like I've been doing these visits forever.
I'm looking forward to not doing one for a while.

Illegitimacy renewed
Well, I'm back. Again. For the n'th time.
I have waaay too many stories from the road to put in one spot. The leading candidates are:
1) A Sleazy Sudbury night
2) Chasing a pony down a highway
3) Driving 3000 km's in one week..
And more to come. For the time being, just understand that I'm likely going to bitch about the Sens. who have won 3 of their last 4. Two against buffalo. but I'm not happy yet.
Those who are still reading, please leave a note so I know whether or not to bother updating from here on in.
